What is threading?
Threading is a precise hair removal technique. It is used mainly to remove facial hair. A piece of thread is crossed between the fingers and then used like scissors. The result is long-lasting, but also associated with some pain. Threading has been practised in India for more than 6,000 years. Hair removal with thread also has a long tradition in the Middle East.
Who is threading suitable for?
Threading is particularly suitable for people with very fine body hair. This method is therefore used mainly to remove facial hair. The downy hair on the face differs structurally from the hair on other parts of the body. Threading is used especially for the eyebrows to shape unruly brows precisely.
Advantages of threading
With threading, the tiny hairs are pulled out of the skin together with the root. The technique is therefore often referred to as thread epilation. The big advantage is that the hair grows back only slowly and, above all, thinner.
Quick treatment
In addition, removing facial hair with a thread is much faster than with tweezers. Not every hair has to be removed individually. When plucking with tweezers, the hairs can also break off. This does not happen with threading.
